Running should be free, man.” ~ Caballo Blanco

I never heard of this book until Eo, fresh from his trip abroad, mentioned it at the Takbo.ph Shout Box and suggested that I read it. He finished reading the book while en route to Manila. Bong Yu brought and gave it to me after the New Balance race. Thank you so much BY!

The comments of notable persons in the running world from the book jacket sparked my interest to initially read the first chapter. However, I found myself turning from one page to another until I am almost half way through it. I’m hooked on the story!

The author wrote it like a spellbinding novel, made the characters come alive as if you’re a spectator of the greatest race ever run, and it’s written with a lot of humor in it.

Not only a must read but also a must-have book for those who are interested to know more about running, ultramarathon, its history, and the role of science and technology in running.
