Last night, while I was trying to solve sudoku puzzles, my attention was caught by a late night show from a local channel ABS-CBN. I have watched a segment of this show once. That was last year I think. And if I remember right, it featured different stories of real people—ordinary people … your every day heroes.
While waiting for the introduction to end, the documentary film then initially showed a pair of running shoes. I bet it would feature yet another famous runner or may be a celebrity perhaps. But I was wrong. It showed instead a 75-year old runner in the person of Mr. Alfredo Fototana, who, narrated his life story, the kind of lifestyle he had, how he got hooked on running, and his achievements as a runner.
The film is in Filipino with no English subtitles.
